Several key players for the New York Giants have been nursing injuries, but it appears Friday was a good day all around for the team, according to Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News: Don't miss out on our NFL Picks
for week 2.
Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks said Thursday he planned to test his banged-up knee with a limited workout Friday, and that's exactly what he did. Specifically, he worked out individually with Eli Manning and took part at least in the walk-through portion viewed by the media. NFL Picks
for week 2 are up right now.
Defensive end Justin Tuck had a limited practice yesterday and was back in pads for this morning's workout, apparently doing a full workout with his defensive linemates.
Meanwhile, DE Osi Umenyiora got off his bike and tested his injured knee for the first time by exploding out of 3- and 4-point stances. Don't look for Umenyiora to be on the field when the whistle blows Monday night, but clearly he's making progress and getting a bit closer each day to returning to NFL Picks
