When news first broke that Tito Ortiz would step in for an injured Phil Davis to fight Rashad Evans at UFC 133 Odds , we told you UFC President Dana White stopped short of saying Ortiz would garner No. 1 contender status with a win. This week at the prefight press conference for UFC 135 Odds , however, White wouldn't rule it out, either.
"It's tough one," White said. "He beats (Ryan) Bader, who was ranked I think seven or eight. Then he comes back and beats the guy ranked No. 1? I don't know. It's a tough question.
