The College Football Picks season is almost here. College Football Odds are now posted. The errors of junior cornerback Cliff Harris' ways have opened the door for current and even potential Oregon Ducks. Harris was suspended indefinitely by head coach Chip Kelly after another brush with the law in June. And he's no small loss -- Harris is ranked among Mel Kiper's top prospects on his initial 2012 Big Board. Check out the latest Vegas Odds in the PAC 10.
The suspension should provide the opportunity to fifth year senior, Anthony Gildon, who was waiting in the wings to become a full time starter.
"He's making plays, he's competing, he's smart and I expect Anthony to have a big year," Oregon secondary coach John Neal told Rivals.
"He's smart, he's confident, he's poised. He's a great character guy. He's the type of guy somebody wants to hire in business because he's ready to go right now."
For top recruits such as Ishmael Adams (Oak Christian H.S.) and Cyrus Jones (Gilman H.S.) who are still considering Oregon, this may present the opportunity to play early in their collegiate careers if Harris decides not to return to the team in 2012/13.
