Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune writes that while finding some new bodies to fill certain spots -- such as right tackle, inside linebacker and free safety -- will be important, the Bolts also plan on reaching extensions with some of their incumbent free agents, and players with deals expiring after 2011. That first group is an important one, featuring Jeromey Clary, Kevin Burnett, Malcom Floyd and Eric Weddle, the latter two of whom have been frequently linked to other teams around the league in rumors this offseason. The group of players in line for extensions includes Nick Hardwick, Shaun Phillips and Antoine Cason, and franchise taggee Vincent Jackson is also in that cohort, though the team's long-term plans for him are unknown.
