UFC 134 Odds: Anderson Silva motivated to take on Yushin Okami

UFC 134 Odds: Anderson Silva motivated to take on Yushin Okami  -When you have defended the middleweight belt eight times, it gets a little harder to match the motivation of the man trying to swipe you. That's why Anderson Silva is happy to be fighting Yushin Okami in his native Brazil on 27 August in the UFC 134, Rio de Janeiro. He's fighting for his people. At least that's how their coaches in the X-Gym - and Rogerio Camoes Distak Josuel - see.

Glen McNeil of Sports Betting Promotions writes" "Funny how GSP-Silva has been completely trumped over. I guess that fight will never happen and to be honest, shame on Dana White for bringing up the topic to the media. I'd love to see the fight, but if it really never had legs in the first place, then there should not have been a mention of it." UFC Betting Odds from Online Sportsbooks have listed Anderson Silva -400 favorite.

Georges St. Pierre has used similar tactics for motivation in defending his belt / homeland against the likes of Matt Serra (UFC 83) and Josh Koscheck (UFC 124) in Montreal. The fight Silva / Okami has some parallels to Serra / GSP II in which the champion is avenging an earlier defeat. NFL Picks.

"[Yushin] Okami has to be on his best to fight in Brazil," Distak said in an interview with Tatame. "The most important thing is that Anderson needs a great motivation to fight, and thanks God his greatest motivation now is to be fighting in Brazil. It'll be tough on Okami, because Anderson is a lot motivated for it, he'll be defending his country at home." UFC 134 Odds: Anderson Silva motivated to take on Okami UFC Odds.
