Stanley Cup Betting Odds - Tampa Bay vs Boston NHL Picks Game 2
posted 5 years ago

Stanley Cup Betting Odds - Tampa Bay vs Boston NHL Picks Game 2 - NHL Betting Online: Look for the Tampa Bay Lightning to take a stranglehold of their series with the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night when they follow up Game 1’s Stanley Cup betting Odds shocker with another ‘W’ on Tuesday night.

Is there any team out there that is really stopping the Lightning?

All of a sudden, this looks like a team full of gangbusters, and three different teams in the Eastern Conference have taken their shots without really standing a chance of beating them. Not only have the Bolts now won eight straight games on the Stanley Cup betting lines, but five of those have come by multiple goals.

In this stretch, Tampa Bay is +$1,018 against the Stanley Cup betting lines, and the team has now rolled off eight straight wins on the puck line as well. It has outscored its competition by the whopping margin of 34-16, and the scariest thing about this lineup is that we have really yet to see the best out of Martin St. Louis and Steven Stamkos here in the playoffs.

Even in Game 1, it was the likes of Sean Bergenheim, Brett Clark, Teddy Purcell, Marc-Andre Bergeron, and Simon Gagne that did the damage, not any of the stars, or even the second tiered stars that are dressed in white, black, and blue.

The only thing that might ultimately help out the Bruins is the return of Patrice Bergeron. Now, it's true that Bergeron is the team's leading scorer in terms of points in the playoffs with 12, but scoring goals wasn't really the problem in Game 1. The B's allowed 34 shots on net, and Tim Thomas just didn't have the goods to stop enough of them. He allowed four goals and 33 shots, and Tampa Bay added an empty net goal while already up 4-1.

Boston really looked like it lost its composure in Game 1 of this series, taking a ton of penalties in the final minute of the game, including a punch by Milan Lucic that might ultimately result in a fine or a suspension.

We're puzzled as to why the oddsmakers have made the Stanley Cup betting lines -150 in favorite of the Bruins. The Lightning are once again +1.5 underdogs on the puck line, while the 'total' is set at 5.5 over +110. These are just nuts odds on a team that is this hot, and there is no way that we can avoid backing the Bolts on Tuesday night.
